Kugelgarn® by Fabromont.
Flooring for the highest demands.
Kugelgarn® is the result of an absolutely unique technology that was developed and patented at Fabromont in the 1980s. Textile fibres are processed into yarns and further into three-dimensional spherical structures. These spherical yarns can be processed in various steps to create visually appealing and very hard-wearing floor coverings.
The yarns are spun from recipes of hundreds of staple fibres with different properties. The colouring is done by solution-dyeing of the fibres. There is still a lot of manual work behind it and each lot is specially patterned. The appearance is absolutely direction-free.
Kugelgarn® coverings are usually three-layered (with a central flame-extinguishing layer). This construction improves dimensional stability and sound absorption in the room.
Textile Kugelgarn® floor coverings offer the following advantages, especially in the contract sector:
Cost-effective.
- Can be laid without repeats
- Fringe-free cut edges
- Cost-effective in care and maintenance
Sound absorbing.
- Impact sound absorbing
- Room sound insulating
Safe.
- Non-slip
- Flame resistant
- Non-toxic
Durable.
- Resistant to most disinfectants and stain removers
- Lightfast and rub-fast
- Impact and chair castor resistant
Relieving.
- Gentle on the joints
- Hygienic
- Pollutant absorbing
Sustainable.
- Free of bitumen, halogens and PVC
- No heavy back
- Environmentally friendly
